Matthew Arron Engelhard, 21. The Hillsboro man was found about 9 p.m. Dec. 23 shot in the head and slumped over the wheel of his car at Southwest 173rd Avenue and Bany Road in Aloha. The 1990 Nissan Stanza was found in the middle of the intersection with the engine running and the headlights on. Detectives arrested Catrell Travis Rawls, 19, and Jaime Mauricio Ramirez Gonzalez, 20. Ramirez pleaded guilty to aggravated murder for shooting Engelhard in the back of the head as the three men sat in Engelhard's car. Ramirez had planned to rob his former friend, a marijuana dealer. After shooting him, the two men took about three pounds of marijuana from Engelhard's car and went through his wallet. Rawls admitted to supplying the 9 mm handgun used to kill Engelhard. He pleaded guilty to felony murder, but later tried to withdraw his plea. A judge sentenced Ramirez to 30 years to life in prison and sentenced Rawls to 25 years to life in prison.
